Kingsway Christian School will assist parents in nurturing each student to realize their value in Christ, challenging them to reach their full potential in all areas of life as defined by loving God with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength and loving our neighbor as ourselves.
One of the teachers of the law came and heard them debating. Noticing that Jesus had given them a good answer, he asked Him, "Of all the commandments, which is the most important?" "The most important one", answered Jesus, "is this: Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. The second is this: Love your neighbor as yourself. There is no commandment greater than these."
Kingsway Christian School believes that all knowledge and wisdom comes from God who has uniquely created each student in His own image. We also believe that the purpose of education is to develop the whole student (mind, body, spirit and soul) for preparation to serve and glorify God in all of life’s endeavors. Serving God means loving Him with all of the heart, soul, mind and strength, and loving our neighbor as ourselves. Loving people opens the door to relationships and community. At Kingsway we strive to create a community where each person is valued and honored and encouraged to reach their highest potential. Additionally, Kingsway has embraced a biblically oriented worldview framed by kingdom principles where scripture is integrated into every area of curricular and extra curricular school life.
When students graduate from Kingsway we envisage the following outcomes:
- The students realize their value and identity in Christ
- The students have hearts transformed into Christlikeness
- The students are grounded in honoring God and all persons (I Peter 2:17, KJV)
- The students pursue excellence, in accordance with individual gifts and abilities, in all areas of academic, physical, and spiritual pursuits
- The students have experienced character development
- The students are prepared to enter vocations with a kingdom building perspective
- The students have the tool of enduring learning which provides them with the skills necessary for growth and success
In order to develop each student individually, Kingsway is embracing classroom strategies that address not only the value of the group and team dynamic in classroom learning but also the value of individualized classroom learning. Kingsway believes that every child should have an individual educational plan that addresses his or her learning style using differentiated, cooperative, and individualized learning strategies designed to meet individual needs. We believe each child has a treasure. We are not afraid to be innovative if innovation will pull that treasure out of each child.
The Kingsway Strategic Framework is intended to provide a point of reference that guides the decisions and priorities within the Kingsway community. It is not something adopted or borrowed from any other organization. It is uniquely Kingsway. During the last several years the board and administrative leadership have been challenged to spend time with God specifically to better understand His heart and His plans for Kingsway. The Strategic Framework is the fruit of those labors. Any idea to advance the school’s mission will be evaluated and prioritized based on how well it contributes to the advancement of the three elements (Develop the whole child, Biblical integration and Kingdom relationships) of the Strategic Framework.
We believe the Bible to be inspired, the only infallible, authoritative, inerrant Word of God. (2 Timothy 3:16, 2 Peter 1:21)
We believe there is only one God, eternally existent in three persons - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Genesis 1:1, Matthew 28:19, John 10:30)
We believe in the deity of Christ (John 10:33), His virgin birth (Isaiah 7:14, Matthew 1:23, Luke 1:35), His sinless life (Hebrews 4:15 & 7:26), His miracles (John 2:11), His vicarious and atoning death (1 Corinthians 15:4), His ascension to the right hand of the Father (Mark 16:19), His personal return in power and glory (Acts 1:11, Revelation 19:11).
We believe in the absolute necessity of regeneration by the Holy Spirit for salvation because of the exceeding sinfulness of human nature; and that men are justified on the single ground of faith in the shed blood of Christ and that only by God's grace and through faith alone we are saved. (John 3:16-19 & 5:24, Romans 3:23 & 5:8-9, Ephesians 2:8-10, Titus 3:15)
We believe “‘a time is coming when all who are in their graves will hear his voice 29 and come out—those who have done what is good will rise to live, and those who have done what is evil will rise to be condemned.’” (John 5:28-29 NIV)
We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ. (Romans 8:9, 1 Corinthians 12:12-13, Galatians 2:26-28)
We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a Godly life. (Romans 8:13-14, 1 Corinthians 3:16 & 6:19-20, Ephesians 4:30 & 5:18)
We believe the institution of marriage and the Biblical roles of manhood and womanhood are ordained and designed by God. We believe that the term "marriage" has only one meaning and that marriage is sanctioned by God which joins one man and one woman in a single, exclusive union as delineated in scripture. We believe any form of sexual immorality is sinful and offensive to God. This includes, but is not necessarily limited to living in, condoning, or supporting sexual immorality; practicing a homosexual lifestyle or an alternative gender identity; or promoting such practices. (Genesis 1:27; 2:18-25; Matthew 19:4; Mark 10:6)
We believe in the sanctity of human life. (Psalm 139)
